Christmas

What an amazing week this has been. Jett and I came up to my Mom and Dad's on Monday to spend some time while Josh worked. It has been so much fun.. It is sad to think Christmas is all over now - but I do have to say it was one of the best Christmas' we have ever had. Lance came around and asked us what our favorite gift for Christmas was this year and Stockton said a tractor, and everyone had a favorite gift, Josh and I looked at each other and said Jett is our favorite gift this Christmas. It was so fun having him here even though he couldn't open up any gifts just knowing he was part of our family was enough. Stockton and Brylee had fun helping Jett open his gifts. Man those two were fun this year. They came over to my Mom and Dad's around 7:15 and they were so excited Santa had found them. They just went from present to present we all had so much fun just watching them. Another great part was we got to talk to Nathan for a while. He sounds so happy - he was actually getting transferred the next day and had mixed feelings because he loves his area and has only been there for a short time, but he is headed to Zimbabwe to be a zone leader - he will be great! He has such an accent now it is funny we loved just listening to him talk. It all made us a homesick for him and we thought about him all day. But we know he is in the right spot and is happy with where he is and what he is doing. This will probably be one of his most memorable Christmas' too!

I am going to post quite a few pictures just so I will have them for our little journal. But we had such a great holiday. We had a party at my Aunt Sharon's house Christmas Eve and we got to see several of the Roberts Family. I found out that Tasha was having a boy so that was fun. Tasha and Nan had all sorts of games for us so that was fun. Then Christmas Night we go over to Josh's and do Christmas over there with his whole family and that was so much fun. We had a great dinner, great gifts, and just fun to be all together. Jett had is hand on his face and I told Josh he was like holy cow it's crazy over here, but we love it. All the kids wrestle and play around it's great!

We are definitely so spoiled our families do way to much for us and our kids. We really don't know how we got so lucky and just pray we can be as great of parents as they are.

I did really try this year to focus more on the true meaning of Christmas. I read so many great stories from the Prophet and his apostles - and it truly brought more Joy to this Holiday for me. Then Christmas Eve we dressed up Stockton and Brylee to be Mary and Joseph and Jett was Baby Jesus and that just brought tears to my eyes as we read to scriptures in Luke and to really think about what it was like on that night. What an amazing time of year to celebrate Jesus' birth and his life. I am so thankful for the gospel and for the knowledge I have of him and what he has done for us. I hope all of you had a very Merry Christmas and know that we love all of you dearly.
