Memorial Weekend

This last weekend I told Josh I wanted to do something fun since school was going to be out and because it was a holiday weekend. First we were going to go to California, then we were going to go camping, we had a lot of ideas, but we ended up going down to Vegas for a few nights. It was actually pretty funny Jalene and Jeremy were debating whether to come or not, well they decided not to go so I randomly called my friend Jessi and she asked what we were doing this weekend and I told her and said why don't you come she said really. So she called up Tanner her husband and they decided to come down right at the last minute we were so excited because we wanted to go with people so we were glad they would randomly just head down with us.

We had a good time, it would have been a little nicer if Jett wasn't a little cranky. He got shots on Thursday and they always make him a little out of whack so he wasn't quite himself Friday. We still had fun we went out to dinner, hit the pool, went bowling, went to the MGM and went through the secret garden where there were some animals to go see. The dolphins were the best part! The weather was pretty nice, it actually was a gorgeous day the day we were leaving which was Saturday of course. But it was perfect weather for Jett outside so it was good!

We got to go eat at two of Josh's favorite restaurants, Chilis and PF Changs. WE had a good time even though it had to end kind of crappy for the Nielson's Tanner's work truck got stolen while they were there. Isn't that crazy people are very daring to steal a truck in the middle of the day in a casino parking lot where people are coming and going all day long. They still haven't found it - we felt really bad!

The Nielson's are an awesome family we are so glad we are such good friends.

So we got back Saturday and Josh worked the rest of the day and then we went over to say hello to Jake and Bree they were staying down here for the weekend with some friends and rented a really nice home. I thought that was a sweet idea. Sunday Josh Hurst invited us to go up to his cabin in Beaver with him and a few others. So we went to church and took off at about 4:00 (so we still got our good Sunday nap in!).

The cabin up there is so nice they have pretty much everything to do, volleyball, horse shoes, basketball, pool, movies, games, hammocks, we had a lot of fun. Bree and Blake came and Brian and Jessica so there were four couples, of course we were the only ones with a kid, but Jett was super good and they all just love him so it was fine. We barbecued Sunday night and played games, I went to bed but everyone stayed up until 3:oo in the morning. I would have been exhausted. The next day I went for a little run it was so beautiful, Beaver is a really pretty town! Then the boys went golfing and the girls went for a ride up the canyon and went to the cheese factory and got some curd and a drink. I love that place it is so yummy! I wish I would have gotten some ice cream. Then we just hung out and played volleyball, the boys played a lot of basketball, we were glad we went. (Of course the boys were competitive all weekend, but that's what they love!) If we owned that cabin we would be up there every weekend it is super fun and nice. So thanks Hurst's for inviting us to go! I am so mad I didn't take any pictures up there I always forget to get my camera out so hopefully there will be a next time and we definitely will take some photos!

So back to school getting out - I am sooooo super excited that I am off for the Summer. I get to play with Jett all day and just do whatever so I am pretty stoked about it. When my Mom gets back off her cruise we are going to head up there for a couple days and we have a few things planned for the summer so it will go by fast like it always does.

A little update on Jett - he is crawling everywhere, eating every kind of baby food- grabbing on to things and pulling himself up, standing up in his crib, putting EVERYTHING in his mouth, but is so stinking much fun. He is so smily and active I'm amazed how strong he is. I think before long he will be walking which is scary. Everyday he learns something new I swear. I just hope I am being a good Mom to teach him what he needs.
