Bastian Reunion 2010

We just got done having a great weekend with Josh's family. We had our annual reunion but it was different this year instead of going camping we all went to Rusty and Becky. Some that lived close didn't stay the night, but some did, but they were still there most of the time.

They had so many things lined out for us that we were always busy. It was a lot of fun. Thursday the boys went golfing while the kids had a swimming party outside. That night we had dinner and some had a corn hole tournament.

The next day we woke up had breakfast and packed up the bikes to ride the Marysvelle trail. It was fun, Josh and I actually rode them down and then back up so we got our exercise. Jett loves being outside and he did great in the bike carrier once again. Everyone seemed to enjoy it.

After that we headed back for lunch took a break, played some corn hole, let the kids swim, visited, relaxed, played outside, then we headed to float down the river. Redmond has a couple really nice kayaks so the boys went and tested it out first to make sure it was safe. We didn't float as far as they did they hit a few rough spots Josh actually is all bruised today from it I think him and Jake got a little crazy together on them. They are always crazy together so that didn't surprise me. So in our raft it was Josh leading us, me, Bree, and Kelton. It was pretty crazy I was even a little nervous. We hit a few rocks and trees, and actually Kelton got ran over by the other Kayak which is a pretty rough hit he took, but we all made it safe so it was fun. We just wish we would have left sooner so we could have done it more than once.

After the river trip it was time for dinner (of course all the meals were fantastic as always!) and after dinner we hung out outside again and some went skating at the skating ring we would have gone but it was time for Jett to go to bed.

When they got back from skating we sang Happy 40th to Rusty and had pie and ice cream and then most went to bed from a packed day!

Next morning breakfast again yummy, then we packed up and headed to Piute to go boating. It wasn't the best day as far as weather goes but Jake and Josh got some good playing time in. Jett loved watching and being in the boat. He is such a good kid didn't fuss once this weekend unless he was tired or hungry. He seriously is just always happy (of course unless it's late at night when he needs to sleep by mom!).

The weather got a little bad so we got out and Josh and I were in charge of lunch so we set all that up quickly, ate, and then we actually headed home and the rest went back out for a little while. So it was perfect for Jett he went right to sleep when we took off and slept the whole way home. He had been playing hard this weekend with everyone.

So we are a little tired we are home now, unpacked once again, and next weekend we will pack it up again and head up to CassieLynn's sealing and blessing.

We are so lucky are family's are so great. I couldn't be more lucky to have such great in laws that are so good to us and are so much fun. Jett is so lucky to have so many great extended family members, and they are lucky to have him.
