BOSTON TRIP!!!

So Josh and I decided to go on one last little trip with just him and I since I had a couple days off for fall break. He really wanted to go to Boston so that is where we went. It was actually a really fun trip. Boston is a beautiful city - very clean, so many things to do, and a lot of History! We left Thursday afternoon and Paige and Mylee came down to take care of Jett so that was super nice to have him in his own house and in his own bed. He did really good for her too which made things a lot easier on me. He had a rough night the first night but Jeremy calmed him down, and after that he napped and slept through the night so it was good. I'll tell you what though I missed him like CRAZY it felt like a month that we were gone.

Here was what we did - Thursday we obviously got there late so we just went to our hotel and crashed! Friday morning we got up to go to our Culinary Tour which was super fun it was three hours and we learned a lot about Italian food, and just a lot of different things. We got to sample all these different foods, and got advice where to go for good food and oh boy did we Friday night we went to an Italian Restaurant that was excellent!! Josh wanted to go there again on Saturday! This all took place in the North part of the city. After the tour we went to Quincy Market and shopped around and had lunch then we went and got on a trolley and toured the city which was awesome to hear about everything. That night after dinner we went to go see if there were any plays in play district of the city and of course wicket was all sold out I was soooo bummed, but when we got there all these people were going to the Wang Theatre so we thought we would go check it out, we found out it was Belle and Sebastian something to do with Folk music so we thought ok it sounds alright so we bought tickets and it ended up being a band from Ireland that everyone loved, but we ended up leaving early. What a waste of money, but we had to see what it was all about. Josh was bummed because the next night it was actually LifeHouse which would have been awesome, but we decided since we spent the money on the other one we better not do the same the next night.

We were tired that night and decided to sleep in on Saturday. After we woke up we headed to Lexington to check out all the History stuff on the Revolution War - so we went to the MinuteMan visitor center and watched a movie on everything. It helped me understand what went on in that exact area. After the video we toured around a little bit, we got to see where Paul Rivere was captured, and just cool different History sites. It was a beautiful town and area. Old homes, with the beautiful yards, the leaves were amazing with their colors changing. It was just a very pretty place and a great learning adventure.

After we did the war sites we headed to the Boston Temple to check it out. It was beautiful - we walked around it and hung out for a bit and then decided to head into the city and tour some more of the different sites. Did I tell you that Boston was so cold Friday and Saturday my souvenirs ended up being an Eskimo hat, scarf, and gloves, and oh boy was I glad I bought them I wore them all day and night. Of course the day we left it was beautiful.

When we got into the city we had lunch and hit the trolly again to learn a little more, it was amazing how each driver tells you different information that is fun to know. We got off in the Theatre District again and went to a movie. After the movie we walked back to the car and just toured around. We actually went back to the hotel a little earlier then the night before so we could relax.

Sunday we got up to go on our bike tour, but we actually decided to cancel it because of how long on a bike we would be and it probably would not have been to comfortable for me since my stomach doubled the size that weekend. Plus the tour would have been everything we already heard on the trolly tour. So we ate breakfast and decided to go into the city and walk the freedom trail. We heard about it on our tour but it was fun to actually go into the places and check stuff out. We hit bunker hill, and old town church, the cemeteries, etc. It was really fun and was nice to walk around all day because I knew the plane right would be enough sitting for me.

We went to have lunch before we left and looked on our culinary tour guide where to go, we ended up getting a Italian sub at a real Italian shop, and it was very fresh and most people would have loved it, but we ended up going somewhere else because it was a little much for us. So we went to this other Italian place and it was great! I actually couldn't even eat all the sandwich so I packed it around the airport to take on the plane and then left it as we boarded so something I would do being pregnant!

The funniest part of the trip began here, we boarded the plane and waited for awhile then they got on the pa and said the plane was to heavy they would have to have 9 to 10 people get off. So we waited an hour for that to take place, then we got out on the runway and had to pull back in because there was a computer problem that they had to fix, so that took another hour, and after that the pilots argued with some flight plan people in Atlanta on which route to take now which took another 45 minutes. By this time we new we weren't making are flight in Salt Lake which made me so mad because I was sooooo ready to see Jett. But the other thing was I was already super uncomfortable just sitting there waiting and then we had the whole five hour flight a head of us. Let's just say it was a long night. We got to Salt Lake at 11:30 got our flights changed for the morning and all our accommodations for the night and headed out.

When we got to the hotel I was starving and of course nothing was open so we used our Delta sky bucks at the hotel I had canned soup and Josh had a frozen burger, but hey it was something in my belly. The next morning we got up we had a 8:30 shuttle booked, well guess what happened we missed it we didn't hear the lady so we were still ok we got there in plenty of time, but it gets even better we get boarded on our flight to St. George and the plane starts pulling back in everyone had to get off because there was problems with the plane we were on. They had to find us a new plane carry the luggage over we thought it was going to be another while before we could leave but it we actually got on pretty quick thank goodness because I had had it with all the delays! WE finally got boarded and were on our way home. We got home about 12:30 just after Jett woke up. We were so excited to see him, I couldn't stop kissing, and hugging him. It seriously seemed like a month since we saw him.

So basically I am done flying for a while which is good because I don't have that option anymore anyway. Don't get me wrong Boston was way fun and we enjoyed it I just hate dealing with delays and crap like that when you fly. Hopefully we will get one more weekend trip in before the baby comes which is coming quick so it might happen and it might not. I'm just lucky I have a husband that lives to travel so it makes it fun. Again we are so thankful for Paige it was so nice to have her come down we enjoyed having her at our house, and Jett enjoyed their company too!

This sounds like so much fun! I am totally jealous. I'll have to put Boston on my list of places to go!
