I haven't posted for a while so I need to catch up a bit. Colt is now three months old which is CRAZY - and Jett is now 17 months and quite the little toddler now. As you can see in the pictures Jett constantly wants to be by Colt when he is on the floor usually it is stealing the pillow from underneath his head, or putting his finger in his nose and mouth or putting his foot on his head like he is kicking him. Yes he does get in trouble often for picking on his little brother but I think it's because he wants the attention and he thinks it is funny. Today he was actually being really cute he laid by him and gave him a kiss then just rubbed his head and then I asked him if he wanted to hold him and he sat up and so I put Colt in his lap and he just loved it. It was funny they both fell over the first time probably because Colt isn't to far behind Jett in the weight area he is getting so big. But Jett held him tight the second time. I curious to see how they are going to act around each other in a year Colt could actually be bigger then Jett then maybe he will pick on him to get back at him for all this time he has been pounced on.
Colt is rolling over from his stomach to each side but we have yet to see him roll over when he is on his back. That would probably be because he doesn't get to spend that much time on the floor or he will get trampled on. Plus he loves to be sitting up all the time to see what is going on. He is still cooing all the time and I absolutely love it and he will just get the biggest smile on his face I am waiting for him to start laughing that hasn't quite happened yet but I can tell it is coming any day. He is a lot like his Dad in the way when he is ready to eat he lets you know and he doesn't stop letting you know until he has food in his mouth. Like I said he loves to be up and would love for me to hold him non stop so sometimes I just have to let him cry because I just can't do that all the time especially with my busy little body Jett running around.
I took Colt in to the doctor AGAIN I swear it has been one thing after another, he got RSV and had an ear infection and had thrush, well he has been more fussy than usual and I could tell his mouth was getting worse so I took him in and what do you know he still has a bad ear infection and really bad thrush so we are still in the process of getting this kid healthy and strong. Thank goodness Jett is feeling better all but having teeth that are bugging him but that will be a constant thing I am sure. But hopefully the warm weather will help all of the sickness stuff out. Thank goodness Jett had those tubes I can't imagine having all that fluid that was running out of ears just sit in there. I am just praying Colt won't have the same problems.
As far as Jett goes he is quite the Curious George - he is just climbing here and there and everywhere and running here and there and everywhere. He is definitely a goer he never wants to slow down I guess he gets that from both of his parents. I can tell I am going to have to really be mentally strong and learn even more patience then I already have because he likes to test both Josh and I often. But what a fun little fart he is he learns something new everyday and we are still enjoying every minute of watching become this fun little person that he is.
We are definitely still crazy busy but I think we have it down now. Hopefully we can start doing more things and taking the boys to fun places. We are so blessed to have them.
I am back to work I was really stressed out at first but now it is kind of nice to get out for a minute. So we will see how I do next year taking a year off. I know I want the time with them so I just need to remember to soak in all the precious memories because they are only little once.
