Jett's First Birthday!

I can't believe a year has already come and go. It just seems like yesterday we were up in Idaho awaiting him to arrive. I will never forget those few nights up there and what an amazing experience it was.

So his big birthday party was on Saturday, but we still wanted to celebrate his real birthday with him so we charged his electric four wheeler that we got him for his birthday the night before and when he woke up we brought him in and showed it to him. The funny thing was he could care less about the bike he just wanted the balloons tied to it. He loves balloons that is for sure. After a while when he forgot about his balloons he got on the bike and figured it out. It was so cute - he doesn't know how to steer quite yet but he will get there.

That night we wanted to take him out somewhere fun and decided a restaurant wasn't really his favorite thing so you'll never guess where we went - MCDONALDS we had Jill and Rob, Jeremy and Dallas come. It was funny but he loved it. He loved the french fries and of course the slides. He had a hard time focusing on his food he just wanted to play. He did love the cupcake Dallas gave him though he went to town on the icing I thought he would be up all night from all the sugar he ate but he was pretty tired after all that playing he did. Dallas gave him a way cute outfit, and some sweet Baby Einstein books that he will love. Bree and Blake actually stopped by and gave him a gift before dinner, and Jill and Rob came over after McDonald's to give him his gift so he was in heaven all day tearing open paper and playing with new toys.

Saturday turned out really nice. My Mom and Dad and Josh's Mom and Dad came down Friday night so that was fun to hang out with them. The next day we just got things ready and thank goodness they were there they helped me out a ton.

When we took off to the park when we got down there the canopy was taken I was so bummed but we just set it up on two other tables that were there and brought some tables we had and made it work. Like I said thanks to our parents for all their help or I wouldn't of had it all ready.

when 1:30 hit I didnt' think anyone else was going to make it, but we actually had a good turn out. Caroly came, and Lance and Stacey and the kids, Julie and Marcus, Rob, Kaili with all of Jamie's kids, DayleMarie and Ryan and their family, so it was a good turn out. We had barbecue beef sandwiches and some extras and then cake and ice cream or root beer floats.

Josh and I did the cake to be honest he is better at the decorating then I am, but it was fun to do it.

Jett got a lot of fun stuff, toys, clothes, socks, you name it. He wasnt' to into opening them at the park to busy with everything else same with eating his cake which made me sad, but the other kids helped him out.

We had a little water balloon toss and let all the kids pick a prize so it was fun. I had more activities, but decided that was long enough for everyone. It was actually a really nice day it got a little chilly but of course I didn't notice running around and being pregnant and fat I was perfect!

We just wanted to say thanks to everyone that came and for the gifts and all you do for our family. We are so blessed to have such a great family and so many wonderful friends that are so good to us and our little family. Jett definitely got spoiled!
