Christmas 2010

Another great Christmas has come and gone so quickly. This year was a lot of fun with Jett knowing how to at least unwrap the paper. He still didn't care to much for the presents he just loved the boxes, paper, and any cord he could see lying around.

So we went up on the 23rd it was my Mom and Dad's year to do the Roberts Christmas party and they decided to do it on the 23rd instead of the 24th because my Mom rented out the Monroe Center because there was no way she was fitting everyone in our house which was a good thing because 60 people showed up. Anyway - I really liked it that day instead of Christmas Eve. It turned out really good besides the fact that Josh had to take Jett home because he would not stop screaming. I swear every time we come home Jett struggles and we finally figured it out - it was his ears every time. The poor thing was miserable he just kept pulling on them and crying we felt really bad he finally calmed down, but of course didn't sleep good that night so we were all tired the next day. It was fun to see everyone more people came than I thought would.

The next day Josh went hunting with my Dad in the morning while we hung out with my Mom. We actually walked over to Lance and Stacey and visited and borrowed their stroller to go on a walk. I wish I could see those guys more. Their little family changes so much in a short time.

That afternoon we took off to Aurora to hang out with his family. We stayed at his Mom's for a while Brandi and Josh were there. Then we headed up to Jake's to visit for a minute before there party. We even stopped by Carl and Melissa's but they weren't home. So we made the rounds. It was fun to visit with Brandi and see how smart her little Clara is - we were amazed at how many animals that little girl new she new more than I will ever know - crazy!!

That night we had turkey and rolls for dinner, opened our pj's and played some rook after Jett finally went to bed. It was fun missed watching family videos but maybe next year! We actually went to bed early since we didn't get much rest the night before.

Next morning was good old Christmas and we didn't even get up until right before eight. We decided to open a few gifts before Jett woke up. Shortly after he woke up and was so excited to tear open more presents. He had been told no for so long now he was all about it - at least for a little bit then he was done. So we opened until it was time to call Nathan. We talked to him for a while he sounded so good, he just loves being a missionary and loves where he is and the people he teaches. I think he is going to have a hard time coming home. He comes home in eight weeks that is so crazy. We are soooo excited to see him. He talked about going back out there in May I just hope I can go it will be hard leaving two for that long. I would love to see all the areas he taught in and meet some of the people that he got so close to. It was really fun to visit with him he is an amazing missionary and we are really proud of him.

After we talked to him we opened a little more and then I tried to put Jett down for a nap and we decided to eat breakfast at 11:00 because we were starving. After breakfast we opened a little more then decided to save the rest for when Lance and Stacey got there. When they got there it was Christmas all over again having the little kids run in and get so excited and tear open there gifts - little kids definitely make Christmas so fun.

We all go super spoiled once again my parents always do way to much we are so lucky they have always done all they could for us kids and still do.

After we opened gifts we had to head to Aurora to do Christmas at Josh's with all his family. We played minute to win it and had a yummy Christmas dinner, and then opened gifts. I swear we opened gifts all day long. We got some fun stuff from his parents and Jake and Bree but I'll tell you what it gets pretty crazy at that house with everybody, but it makes it so much fun. Jett had a great time and did so well over there I thought he would struggle, but he loved it.

He was definitely ready to go to bed early because he only had one short nap earlier that day. So we took off and we all actually went to bed a little early because we were so tired from the fun exciting day.

The next day we slept in and then packed our stuff up and had to take off because Jett was getting tubes the next morning. I was ready for my own bed, but did feel bad we had to leave so early.

We enjoyed all the time with our families we seriously have the best families ever. I can't imagine life without family in it. We have parents that would do anything for us and are such amazing examples to us. We appreciate all they do for our family.

Jett also made Christmas so fun we don't know what we would do without him he is the joy in our lives. Now that we are home we are getting ready for baby number two to get here.

We hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year.

Looks like you had a great Christmas. Jett is sooo cute and I can't believe how big he is getting! Glad everything went okay with the tubes!
