Last weekend was Easter Break and it was so much fun. I took off Thursday after school to go to my mom's for the long weekend. I was a little nervous about taking both boys where they have been sick, but they did really well up there Colt actually started back sleeping through the night up there so it was fantastic. Even Jett did really well napping and sleeping up there so it was super nice.
They both love going up there because they love Grandma and Grandpa Roberts and Bastian so much so it was fun to spend time with them.
I took the boys over to Josh's Mom's for the big Easter Hunt. Josh had to work so it was just us but it was super super fun. Doris always goes way out for Easter I don't know how she does it but she always does. She starts with letting the little kids go like Jett, Kassi, Dacie, and Clara, then the little next age group went and so on until the adults go. Jett loved it he didn't go to fast but he will get it next year it will be way fun.
Of course I didn't find the golden egg which is so disappointing because this year Doris had quite the prize for the winner ( I am embarrassed to even tell what it was besides the money part!) Dinner was good and it was just fun to visit with everyone and let Jett just play with his cousins.
I went back over to my Mom's that night and Jett and I colored some Easter eggs we were the only ones this year which was kind of sad because we always have a decorating competition, but that was ok the Easter bunny still hid the ones we did. The boys slept good again that night so it was awesome. We woke up and the Easter Bunny brought our baskets full of goodies as always, and of course hid soooo many eggs for the Easter egg hunt. Now this Easter egg hunt is a big deal if you know my family we are very competitive so it is a race the whole time. First the kids get to go then we start. My Mom added another field this year so we had more running to do. She put so much money in the eggs this year it was awesome. Josh found the most eggs ( you can ask him why I can't believe what he did I was so ticked!!!) but Lance found the gold and silver again. He always does I swear - it was fun though Michael Parsons just got home from his mission and he came down and did the hunt with us. We were all winded by the time it was over I guess that was my exercise for the day.
We got ready after that to go up the Mountain or Hill should I say and had our annual Roberts Hot dog roast I was worried because it was raining in the morning and was chilly but it actually turned out pretty nice Colt slept most of the time and JEtt even took a nap in the truck so it was great! We had a really good turn out I hadn't seen several of my cousins for a long time so it was fun. Of course the food was amazing and being outside was great so I hate to have it end.
We left and headed to Josh's parents so he could hang out and see his family since he didn't make it Friday. So we hung out for a bit and then headed to Jake's to visit with them.
The next day was Michael's homecoming so I went to church with my family why Josh stayed with the boys then he headed to his parent's church to listen to his Dad speak and have dinner with his family. I took off so I could drive why the boys slept. I love going home to visit but it definitely is a lot of work to go with the two boys now. But I was glad they had a good time up there and slept good and felt good.
We are so lucky to have such good families we always have so much fun with them and enjoy our time with them. Our boys have amazing grandparents that love them so much and how lucky are they to have them in their life.
Great weekend it was nice to catch up on things Monday. I actually took the boys to the rec center with Jamie and her family. I thought Jett would love it but he hated it because the big bucket scared him to death. Hopefully he will get used to it.
Good times always have to end and back to work we go!
