24th Weekend!

We had a great time this last weekend it was the big Monroe 24th celebration so we went up Friday for the three on three tournament and you will never believe it but Nathan, Lance, Josh, and Jaydee Parsons' fiance won it and Lance even won it in the older division too they were pretty stoaked about it. They have played many years and no sweatshirt but this year they made it happen. I was super excited for them.

I didn't get to watch all of them of course because of the boys so I felt bad they didn't even get home until like 2:30 a.m.!! I got up and ran the five mile milk run and I haven't ran like that in a long time I pushed myself probably a little to hard, but it was fun!

Then we had the big parade and that was fun Jett loves them now probably because of all the candy he gets to eat. Then we went down to the park to let Jett race he missed the one year old boys so we put him in with the two year old boys and he was doing awesome but fell down dang it. We didn't stay long after that, we headed back and had lunch put the boys down for a nap and then went on a dumb buggy ride up the moutain while my mom and dad tended.

After our ride we had a barbecue with the family and then we had Tim and Doris, Jalene and Jer, and Alesa and her family come and watch the fire works with us. It was fun. Jett loved all of it.

Sunday we went to church and then headed up the mountain to have dinner at Tara's cabin with a bunch of people. It was fun but Jett is a little hard in the buggy he just won't hold still.

Josh headed back Monday morning and I ended up staying until Tuesday so he could get some work done and hung out. It was fun I always love spending time with my Mom, we went on a walk on the trail and then took the boys to McDonalds, then tried to go swimming after naps but the pool was closed so we got slushies and headed home and hung out. It's always fun to spend time with family we are so lucky. I was glad Josh's family came over to the parade and sat by us. We have great families!

It's so nice to be able to go up home during the Summer and let the boys just play outside and go see animals and ride the four wheeler and hang out with family and friends. We always talked about moving home, but I think we have come to the conclusion that it probably won't happen, but we are so lucky that our boys will still be able to have that small town atmosphere in their lives by going and visiting family. There really is something to say about growing up in a small town. We were very lucky and loved every minute of it.

Colt was all over the place this trip he is just scooting away. I can't believe he is almost seven months. He really will be crawling all over pretty soon. He is saying ba ba and giggling more, eating more solids, screaming more like Jett, and following every move Jett makes.

Jett is starting to say more and more words and understanding so much. He has started this screaming thing where he just screams out and I laughed at Colt when he copied Jett so now he thinks it is funny and it surely isn't any more especially when he just gets mad and he starts screaming at the top of his lungs. He knows several animals, but we are still working on colors. He definitely knows what treats are I am afraid we have introduced the sweet stuff way to early. He is now sleeping in a big boy bed all by himself ( at home ) we thought it would be a big process, but he has adjusted pretty well I would have to say. I am afraid the next big adjustment is potty training - YIKES!!!

They are both growing so much so fast. It makes me sad and nervous of how I am going to deal with talking back non stop - wow patience here we hopefully come!
