I need to do a little update I haven't posted for a while and it's amazing how much babies do in a short amount of time. First of all we had our first big fall for both boys. We went to the park and I put Colt in his little walker and he is so fast in that thing so I was getting in my purse to get Keaton some grapes turned my head literately for two seconds and he was off the curb went head first into the wood chips I was shaking thinking he was going to hurt his neck he cried just a little bit and that was it but he was all scratched up on his face from the wood chips. I felt sooo bad and it scared me pretty good.
Jett had gotten wet of course and was chasing after Keaton running pretty fast on the concrete and tripped and went face first hard core. So he was pretty scratched up too. I went home and Josh was like holy cow what did you do to the boys. So that was quite the day at the park for us.
We went and fed the ducks last weekend and just hung out it was fun Jett just loves any animal he can go see and touch or feed. Those ducks and be a little scary they come right up to you. It is the geese that I hate because they nip and squeal at you. But that is always a fun outing.
Another scary moment we had we were headed to the park again and I turned around and Jett was choking on a Popsicle I mean his eyes were watering I stopped the car in the middle of the road and ran around got him out I was like doing the Heimlich and all I could and finally it went down and he just cried it scared me soo bad I was just disturbed for quite a while after it. I hate stuff like that! Maybe we should stop going to the park right.
Speaking of parks my little Jett is getting more and more brave he just climbs anything and everything now and gets clear to the top of things and wants to like jump down. I have to make sure I have an eye on him at all times. It makes me nervous that kid even for later on with him being scared of NOTHING!!!
Josh took Jett out on the Excavator last weekend too and let him drive around and move dirt. Jett loved it every time he sees an excavator he says Dad Dad talking about when he went with Dad it is cute! Josh is such an awesome Dad they both love every minute they get to spend with him. And I enjoy every minute too. We are all so lucky to have him.
Little update on the boys. Jett is starting to talk so good I can pretty much understand everything he is saying now. Most people wouldn't but since I am around him all day I can but he is a good little talker. His favorite thing right now is "Hoppers" he loves to catch grass hoppers and he looks at his picture with the grass hopper all the time and says hopper hopper. We could go hunting hoppers all day and he would be entertained. He loves to chase any animal around, birds, dogs, cats, you name it. People say I need to get him an animal but I tell them then he won't get so excited to see them. He also likes to jump off things right now, climb and jump climb and jump, kind of scary at times. He is getting very self entertained outside he will just go explore behind the bushes and trees and dirt and anything you can think of. It is fun to just let him go and then sneak and watch what he does. He is all boy that is for sure. He still HATES HATES HATES his hair to be cut. Poor Jamie probably dreads us to come over he really screams the whole entire time we are there I hate it too! He looks so much more grown up with his hair that short. He is getting pretty big though it makes me sad. I love how he will say something and you say it back and he says ya just the way he says ya makes you smile! I can't believe his birthday is coming up my little Jett will be two. CRAZY!!! What a bundle of sunshine he is.
Colt wow he is growing like a weed. He is fitting into 18 month pjs and basically could wear all 12 month clothes and he is only 8 well almost 9 months old. He is a tall stocky boy that is very strong. He is flies wherever he goes sometimes it is like he just leaps he will be army crawling because why crawl on your knees when you are fast scooting but he will just leap to things. He will leap over me and to toys and on the bed it is crazy. He is pulling up on things now he will crawl right over to me just to grab on and stand up. I think before long he will be taking a few steps. That is sad to me but he is to that point. He puts everything in his mouth now loves those little things that dissolve in his mouth. He is eating really well I need to start on three meals a day now but we are just to two right now. He holds his bottle so good and sometimes could care less to hold still to eat it. He is a goer just like Jett he can't hold still. I guess we all rub off on each other. I remember telling Jill awhile ago that I couldn't ever put him down and it was hard now I can't hold him very much and that makes me sad. He is a happy kid though he will just giggle even when he gets mad I'll lean down and kiss him and he will giggle. He does have a little attitude I can tell he is pretty stubborn but I just laugh at it he will just grunt really loud when he wants something and he has learned from Jett to scream out when he is mad which is a little frustrating at times and very frustrating when they are both doing it at the same time and that is usually in the car when I can't do anything about it. YIKES!!! Colt also just will stand on his two feet and flip to his butt it is so funny he will scoot stand and flip and he is so fast at it. I think he is starting to get more teeth. He has the runny nose and slobber like crazy. Teething is just never ending I have decided.
The boys love playing with each other, even though they both want what the other one has all the time they still just love wrestling each other especially Jett just crawling on top of Colt pulling him over we still have to watch him and get after him for that but Colt can hold his own. He rarely cries he just goes after Jett too. I am thinking pretty soon Colt might be the one hurting Jett. Jett has made Colt really strong so it will be interesting.
Oh don't you just love our little poser Jett loves to cheese it for the camera!!
I just love my boys I can't even imagine working and missing out on all that we do each day. There are days I want to pull my hair out by the end of the day, but for the most part they are just so much fun and just make me smile and love every minute of life. I can't imagine what we would do without them. They are true Joy!
