This last weekend Josh and I took a little trip to Seattle we were sad because Jake and Bree were going to come with us but her brother went through the temple the same exact weekend so it didn't work out, but hopefully we can do it again soon.
Talk about PERFECT weather - it was so beautiful there! We had a great time it was the perfect trip - perfect amount of time gone, perfect weather, perfect flights (for the most part except coming from SLC to St. George we had to fly in the air for an extra hour until the storm past) great food, and amazing tourist attractions!
We left Thursday night got there found our hotel and just hit the sack! Friday morning Josh got up a little earlier than me to do work so he went out and got his haircut by some guy that was a crack up and just talked his ear off. Supposedly all the famous players and coaches stay there so this guy had cut several of their hair and had several stories. After he was done we got ready to go and headed down to Pike Pier Market it was AWESOME fresh fruit all over the most amazing flowers for cheap and just all sorts of different booths of cool stuff. So we purchased a few things walked around and then headed to the mall to get on the train to the Space Needle for Lunch.
If I could recommend something it would be for sure going to the Space Needle and having a meal you get to sit up there and it turns every so many seconds so you get to see all the different views plus eat delicious food while you are doing it. It was such a clear day that we could see everything.
After we hung out there we walked around to some other museums to check them out and then headed to the Pier to go over to Brainbridge for some famous homemade ice cream. As we headed I don't think we realized how far it was, but we definitely got our exercise that day because we walked everywhere we went and the way back to our hotel was straight up so we were tired that night. Anyway we finally made it to Pier 50 got on the fiery and headed over to Brainbridge. Again it was a fun ride because it was so pretty outside when we got there we walked downtown and had the famous ice cream we were told about and checked a few things out and headed back so we could make it to the baseball game on time.
When we got back we changed and headed back out to do some more walking down to the big Mariners Baseball Game. It was actually a really fun game they did a great job. We had dinner there good old baseball hot dogs and whatever else but you have to do it right!
We left a little early so we could go in the car and go exploring on another side of town.
Saturday morning we got up and hit a super yummy cafe for breakfast and then headed out to go hiking that day. We heard about these falls I can't even say the name, but you can drive right to them so we went there and they were awesome. After that we drove to the rattlesnake point to hike it and we probably hiked about 5 miles. We tried to run most of it but it was pretty steep plus there was a lot of people out on the trail. It was a beautiful hike and the end was amazing! We were both sweaty when we were done. So here we are in our hiking clothes and we head to a gas station to get a drink and we hear about this fair going on all weekend so we decided to ask about it. It is called the Pullyup Fair so we got directions and headed to it. I was in my hiking clothes Josh had a long sleeve shirt on because his t-shirt was soaked from sweating on the hike we looked pretty sweet, but we went and had a good time. We parked in some guys backyard for ten bucks, hit the rodeo, played some games, got some food and took off. It was actually really fun - spur of the moment but those are always the good times.
We got back just in time to change and go down to dinner before the boyce avenue concert. Dinner was amazing it was fresh fish stuff down on the pier and it was wonderful. I do have to say I wondered about our concert at first we had to wait for awhile in this little shop with so many people we didn't understand where we were going to see a concert, but it was actually back behind this little shop. Josh of course got us reserved seating which was great because the rest of the people had to stand the whole time. The band was AWESOME!!! We had a great time I made sure I bought their cd for memories and because I liked their stuff.
After the concert we headed back we were both pretty tired. Josh ordered a little treat so we had a dessert in bed before we went to sleep (here come the extra pounds right!) The next morning we hit our yummy cafe again got a muffin for the road and headed to the airport.
We were doing something all the time and loving every minute of it. It was so fun to just sing and laugh and joke around with Josh and just be spur of the moment. It definitely keep our relationship alive and fun. We are so lucky we are able to go and do things like this thanks to those that helped with the boys and for josh's hard work. Many great memories - and I look forward to many more!
