UPDATE!!

Holy Cow I think this is the longest I have gone without posting it has been a crazy month and I can't seem to find my camera yes my new little camera so I haven't been taking pictures like I should and therefore I forget to update my blog. So I will try to go over everything we have done this past month.

First of all I have to say thanksgiving was a great time we had it at Josh's parents this year and it was a little crazy because Brandy was due right close to Thanksgiving so she couldn't come but she actually went into labor as we sat down to eat so Doris and Tim had to take off I don't even think Doris got to eat any of the food or at least enjoy it. I know she was stressed out when we got there just getting everything ready and then having that I felt a little bad for her because it was a stressful day. But she made it up there and all of us kids took care of cleaning up and putting up Christmas. The boys went shooting guns and we had dessert and more food it was fun. We had a good time. It was weird staying there and not having anybody around. Tim did come home that next morning early, but we were at the house by ourselves that night.

The next day we headed over to my Blackburn Christmas Party / Thanksgiving / Celebration for Grandma's Birthday / Celebrating their I believe 60 year anniversary or more so it was a lot to celebrate and believe it or not everyone was there but Dustin that is on a mission and Ron he had to work. So it was really special and fun to see everyone and catch up I know my Grandparents were super happy and enjoyed every minute. The sisters put a lot of work into helping get it organized and put together so it was fun.

We took off and headed back to St. George that day we are somewhat of what you would call home bodies right now in our lives. It is ten times easier to be here right now. When the boys get a little older it will be easier to stay longer and enjoy it I hope anyway, but right now it gets to be a lot of work to go and stay for a few nights.

That next weekend I had my girls trip with 21 girls to head down to California to go to Wicked. My friend Andrea planned it all bless her heart it was for her birthday but she did a great job and it was soooo much fun. Wicked was amazing we left Thursday and went to the play that night. Friday we shopped pretty much all day and had a mac makeover and went to a movie and dinner. Saturday we hit the fashion district and headed home and then stopped again at Primm at the outlets there. So it was definitely a lot of shopping for me but it was super fun. Jamie drove her car and we had Bree Frei, Jill Egbert, Jamie Webster, and shut I forget the other girls name anyway it was way fun and then on the way back we had all the same but Heather and Missy switched the other two girls. So it was fun to get to know all the girls a little better and just enjoy each other. Jamie Gentry got us sweet hotel rooms and I thought there would be drama with that many girls but there really wasn't we all had a great time. I really want to go see Wicked again though that is for sure.

I think that Saturday we took the boys out to see Santa or we actually did before we left and they loved it Colt just smiled away I thought he would cry. Oh my Mom came down Sunday and stayed until Tuesday to do some shopping and spend her Birthday down here. It was a little crazy on her Birthday because that was our neighborhood Christmas Party that Jill and I were in charge of but it ended up being nice because she helped with the kids. We did celebrate we decorated in the morning and had birthday breakfast and took her to lunch so that was fun then had ice cream cake that night. The Party turned out good to several people came even though it was the coldest night of the year I swear. We ended up doing it in our garage we hurried and cleaned everything out because it was so cold. Then to come find out it turned my outlets off or broke a fuse I guess however you say it so thank goodness I went to my freezer the day after because it was totally off - YIKES! Glad when that party was over though to pass it to someone else.

The next weekend we went out to Tuacahn with the Terries to see Santa again and watch the live nativity so that was fun even though we didn't make it through the whole thing - surprising isn't it. That Sunday we had our little party with Liz and Dayle and Jamie and the families. It was fun Jamie had games for the kids and we ate I wish we would do that more!

The next weekend we through a surprise Dirty 30 party for Jamie it was fun. It was a quick throw together because there is so much going on right now but we had a few people over and she was totally surprised. It wasn't a long party because they were going to the forgotten carols with their older boys but it was perfect amount of time. We had great food and some fun games and great gifts and stories to laugh at. So if you need ideas for a dirty 30 party let me know!

Saturday we hung out with Nathan and his girlfriend Carly it was a lot of fun. We went and shot skeet why the boys slept and then went and played basketball. Then we had ice cream and played games that night. I was so glad he brought her and hung out it was a lot of fun. She is super cute.

Then in the midst of all this we had quite the tragedy in our ward. Zach Pulsipher age 13 passed away in a tragic accident. It truly brought the spirit so strong to me and made me realize how important my little ones are and how we should always treasure every moment and every memory we have with them. It also reminds me how important family is and how lucky we are to know we have the gospel to lean on and how comforting it is to know we can be together forever. It also made me realize how real the atonement is and how it is there for all of us it’s amazing how a tragedy really builds your testimony and brings people together. But it made me just look at my two precious little boys and wonder if I was doing all I could to be the best Mom for them, and if I was laughing at all their silly moments and comforting them when they were sad or sick and it brought me to tears because I love them so much that I cannot imagine ever hurting them or not having them in my life they are everything to me I don’t know what our lives where ever like before they were here. So it has been a rough week and my heart aches every time I think about it and especially his sweet family. They did an amazing job at the funeral they all spoke which was amazing to me but they did great and again the spirit was so strong. Wendy his Mom is just amazing I look up to her so much I always have but through all this I do even more. I just pray I never have to go through a trial like that one as a mother.

We had our ward party Monday and a party last night with the Frei's and all their friends and tonight I am taking Jamie out for her real birthday because Josh is gone on Wednesday's so it has been a crazy last few weeks.

The boys are getting so big Jett is talking like crazy I can't believe all the things he is saying and repeating. He loves to sing his abc's now and try to count. If you ask him what Santa says he will say HO HO Ho Merry Christmas! It is so cute. He is starting to figure things out that I don't really want him to but I guess that is part of growing up. Colt is growing like a weed still he should be walking but is still content to just crawl and follow Jett everywhere. He is definitely just as busy as Jett. They play better and better with each other every day it seems like. They sure do love each other even though they already pick on each other like crazy.

One of Jett's things right now is he wants two of everything - two suckers two candies, but his favorite thing is to basically unwrap them he never eats the whole thing he just loves to ask for them and take a few bites or licks of the sucker and he is done. Then Colt gets a hold of it and it becomes a mess! Jett will continue to ask over and over again until you give in he is very very persistent right now. Colt says Jett sometimes it is the cutest thing he isn't talking a lot but he will definitely let you know what he doesn't want to do he has a mind of his own that little one. I am also afraid Jett had learned how to work us with the crying and moaning I knew this stage was going to get here but I am not quite ready for it.

We are now making it to a little more of church one day just one day we all might make it to three meetings. Jett was doing awesome going to nursery but this last week he struggled again so you never know what you are going to get.

My boys bring me so much joy they are full of life and keep me running but I love every minute with them. They are growing so fast and I am lucky to get the time with them that I do.
