Christmas 2011

What another great Christmas. They just get more fun each year! Jett had a blast all he cared about was tearing the paper off he could have cared less what was in the boxes it was hilarious he would open a little and then throw the paper in the trash and then finish. He loved every minute.

I went up earlier on Friday morning with the boys so I could make it to the Roberts Christmas Party in Monroe. Josh made it right on time. I do have to say I didn't know if I was going to make it the whole time mentally I was already going crazy chasing the boys after two hours at being at my Mom's. They were into EVERYTHING!!!! I think after they had torn all the house apart and checked everything out then they could tone it down a little but it was none stop saying "no" "uh uh uh" "stay away" you know all that good stuff, Jett broke a few things and Colt spilled several things but I guess that is just how it goes. The Roberts Party was fun but CRAZY there was so many kids there so of course Jett was having a hay day chasing them around but he ran into several things not watching where he is going and the first thing he did when we got there was dump a whole cup of hot chocolate on the floor! I was very thankful when Josh showed up!!

It was fun though to see everyone and enjoy the family and dinner. Everyone's kids are getting older and grown up it's crazy to me how things change so fast.

The next day we couldn't handle the kids in the house so we made the rounds we went to Jalene and Jer's house for a bit, then Lance and Stacey's then we headed over to Aurora to visit with Mom and Dad Bastian for awhile. On the way home from Doris and Tim's Colt fell asleep on the way he was so tired so we put them down and after nap time we took them sledding behind Grandpa Roberts' four wheeler. Jett had a BLAST Stockton and Brylee came and they had a great time. It was a short ride just in the back yard but they loved it. Then a little while later we had a little family Christmas Eve Party with dinner and dessert and games and old family videos so it was way fun. I was glad the videos turned out it was fun to watch them and get a good laugh.

That night we got all the presents out and you should have seen the living room holy cow it is a little embarrassing how much everyone gets. Lance brought load after load. I told Josh we aren't doing as much any more I don't want the boys to always expect it and get spoiled rotten even though it is super fun to watch them. But you know when it takes you ALL day to open them it is a little to much. We did have church so it made the day longer too because we had to stop and get ready and then come back and finish. But we definitely get spoiled by my Mom and Dad and Josh's Mom and Dad and just everyone I swear Santa only needs to bring a couple presents because they get so much from everyone else.

The boys got their big truck and several fun toys and clothes. I got really cute boots, pants, and clothes and Josh got several nice things too. We are very blessed! And it was so fun to have Nathan home this year you can tell he is growing up he was more concerned about the kids then himself.

After opening at my Mom's we headed over to Josh's parents to have the Bastian Christmas Party. We had yummy food and opened presents there. It is always a great time with Josh's whole family Jett has a blast with all the cousins and Colt just crawl around enjoying himself. It was a great Christmas.

We got home and the boys were exhausted but the next day we decided to pack up and head home. I was glad we did it was nice to let the boys enjoy their toys here for a day and then clean it up and put it away. It literally took me ALL day to clean the house and put Christmas away, but I finally got it done and right when I finished I started feeling sick and yep we got a little bug Josh and I. I guess several of my family members got it too I feel tons better now it was a quick thing for me, but I was glad we came home so we weren't sick up there. I just pray the boys don't get it. No Fun!!

Well it was a great Christmas can't believe it is already gone by but we will look forward to another great one next year!
