I can't believe my little Colt is already one. Ok so he has never been very little but he is my baby and he is growing up so fast. It seems like his first year just cruised I think I was so busy chasing both boys that the time just flew by. I look back at pictures when he was first born and it is just crazy to me how little he was and that he is now the big #1. He has started saying more words and really is almost to have walking down. He says: Tractor, Mama, Dada, Jett, uh oh, and Moo. It sounds like he has said a few more words but you never know if he really did. He has been just going from his knees to standing up and taking off walking. It is like he wants to run like Jett it so funny. But I think in the next week or so he will be walking a lot more. It is fun to watch him he is still so smily and happy. He still just cruises and follows the kids wherever they go. He can get pretty much wherever they go. He loves loves loves to climb up things now, like the stairs, the fireplace, any box, he is just following in his brother's footsteps. He still doesn't have going back down quite yet so it makes me nervous when he climbs anything because he might just fall straight backwards. He still has six teeth I swear he is getting more but you never know. Him and Jett are just playing more and more together they are best buds and partners in crime.
We had a great turn out for Colt's Birthday I just invited our family and a few of Colt's buddies. So my Mom and Dad and Lance and Stacey and the kids came down together, Tim and Doris, Nathan and Carly, and then Jill and Ethan, Jamie and Kycie, and Blake, Bree, and Brady. The afternoon was perfect we had a few games, had a barbecue, opened presents, and had cake and ice cream. The best part was we got to celebrate my Dad's birthday also so we killed two birds with one stone. I did a farm theme and made everyone a little baggie full of stuff, had burgers and hot dogs, and just got a few other fun ideas off of good old Pinterest. One of the best parts was watching Colt devour his cake I didn't think he would but he ate almost half of his pig cake it was AWESOME!! Corn Hole would have been more fun if Nathan and Carly didn't kill everyone! The weather cooperated the whole time it was crazy right when the part was over it got windy and cold. So it was fun, but it is always good to have over with and know I don't have to prepare anymore.
The other pictures are of his actual birthday day we went to the park and had cupcakes and invited a few friends to come. Jessi brought pizza and we just let the kids play and then watch him open a couple presents. I actually just called these guys the day of and said Josh and I were going to go celebrate and wanted to see if they could come so it wasn't an actual party but it turned out really fun for the kids and Colt. He got to play in the mud and be outside and that's what he enjoys the most.
