Fun Times - 4th of July and More!

I can't believe it is almost the middle of July already. Time just zips by. We went up home for the fourth and had a good time. We went up on the third and Josh went golfing with his brothers and then we went to his Mom's party and had dinner, water fights, and watched fireworks it was fun. The boys did really well Jett loved every minute especially playing with Grandma's kittens. He would not put those things down. He also loved the fireworks you know some kids are scared of them - oh no not mine. It was fun though Doris always has great food and fun entertainment she is a good party planner and fun Grandma the kids love going to Grandma's house. The next morning we had breakfast with Grandma and then headed to the Richfield Parade that is fun but very long. We had decided we weren't going to do the park thing but Jett kept asking to go to the park so I told Josh we needed to take him over and what happens....we lose Jett. My dad put him down for two seconds and he was gone. He thought the jump houses were like Jumping Jacks and he just took off to go play - it is an awful awful feeling losing your child. We did find him with his shoes off trying to get on the jump house stuff. After that we just decided to leave. The Richfield parade is good the boys had a lot of fun and got a lot of candy and stuff but man the park is just madness to many people. We left and went to McDonald's for lunch with my parents and then headed to Aurora's festivities. I put Colt down for a nap and of course I missed Jett running his race and taking first dang it. He was pretty proud of himself though. I was glad Doris went with Josh they had fun I think. We hung out for a while and then went over to the Salina parade with Tim and Doris which was a mistake our kids were paraded out they were everywhere and into everything so we left early. We headed to my parents for a barbecue and played rook then went to Richfield for fireworks and to take Josh to his ride back to St. George. He came back up Friday morning to get us to go camping for his family reunion only problem was Jett had thrown up the two nights before and had diarrhea so he had the stomach bug so Josh took Colt with him and Jett and I went up later for dinner and then came back. He still played even though he didn't feel good he didn't eat much but I knew he didn't feel the best he is still getting over it I think so not fun stuff I pray Colt doesn't get it too. The family reunion was fun everyone caught a lot of fish, Josh saw some good bulls and it was good weather so just a fun time with the Bastian Crew. We missed Bree and Kass they were home sick also. We did go back up Saturday and spent the day again but we didn't stay the nights I'd rather bring Colt back to where I know he will sleep. It's always fun to spend family time and it's always nice to come back and get into the routine of things. It is definitely a lot hotter here that's what I don't miss when I am up there but I miss the river and the pool so we are ready to go swimming. We are headed back up this weekend to run our race and go to seven peaks so we will have to let you know how that goes.
