COLT JOSH BASTIAN is here!!!

So I don't have a lot of time but I wanted to hurry and post a few pictures and thoughts of Colt. It was funny because on Sunday we were reading scriptures and both took bets when I would go into labor well I said probably the 7th Josh said that would be a good day as long as it isn't Monday that would be great. So I e-mailed my secretary told her I was coming back to work and that night the contractions started. I woke Josh up about 3:00 after having contractions and told him we might be going in tonight he then of course went back to sleep I couldn't sleep because of the pain so I got in the shower and packed things up and by 6:00 I woke him up and said we needed to go. All I have to say is contractions hurt like a mother thank goodness for epidurals.

They admitted me right at the first and you'll never guess who my nurse was - my Relief Society President I was so happy she was AMAZING and made everything so relaxing and nice for me it was funny because at church the day before she was talking to me about it and I told her it would probably be another week. And what do you know the only day she works was the day I went in - it was awesome.

So I was about a 3.5 when I went in and they started me on everything and by 3:30 or so they said I was ready to start pushing. I thought I would have to push a lot more than I did, but it really wasn't that bad. My doctor got in there and I pushed about two or three times and what do you know there he came.

Delivering a baby is the most amazing experience you can have I think - what a little miracle he is. He came at 4:07 p.m. weighed 7 lbs 9 ounces and was 20 inches long people wondered how he was that big I told everyone that I felt huge. He had a little fever and so did I but other than that everything was perfect. He is beautiful and a miracle to our family. We waited along time to experience this day - and what an amazing day it was.

My Mom was there with me and we were able to have visitors in so Jamie brought Jett in shortly after which was so nice I worried about him all day and missed him. My Dad was there and Tim and Doris came right down so it was fun to everyone there.

Of course we had not decided on a name yet but the next day when we were filling out the paper work we actually flipped a coin and Colt won twice so I said obviously he the name won the hat drawing and two flips of a coin I guess it's meant to be so I woke up from a nap and Josh showed me the birth certificate papers and it was Colt Josh Bastian. I actually think it fits him perfect. He is our cute little Colt.

Dr. Clark came in the next day and did everything for us and Chalmers was in early so we actually got released even before we were there 24 hours. I felt good and was ready to go home and see Jett so we got out of there as soon as we could.

Now that we are home things are a little crazy Jett is still not sure what is going on he has been a little fussy but I know it will all take time. Thank goodness my Mom is here to help me or I don't know what I would do I am nervous for her to leave, but I know I can do it. I have to say I don't know what I would do without good friends too they have all been so willing to help, especially Jamie I don't know how I ever made it without her. She took Jett all day and then brought him in a new outfit that said I am a big brother. She brought us cinnamon rolls and a drink and has been so willing to do whatever I need. I wish I was more like her and having five kids and doing all she does she amazes me. But really thanks to everyone that has helped and has been so willing to do whatever they can to help.

I just want to say I feel so blessed to have these two perfect little boys in our family. Being a Mom is the best thing in the world of course it is challenging and I am nervous how it is all going to work out but being able to bring this little angel into the world has been such a miraculous experience. We our thankful to our Heavenly Father for all that he has blessed us with and are so thankful for our families and parents that have taught us by example of how we should be. We love you all and thank you for all your support.
