Summer Adventures

We have had a lot of fun the last few weeks going on different hiking adventures. Last week we went up to the Dixie Rock and hiked around. Jett had a blast seeing a squirrel, lizards, and a raccoon! Both boys loved playing in the sand and filling Jett's boots up with Rocks and Dirt and dumping it out and starting over. They played right by the Dixie Crack in the shade for a while it was a good time. Today we went to hiking at Red Cliffs with Mylee and Paige. We had a blast. All the kids did awesome. Colt didn't make a peep in the backpack and Jett and Mylee we great hikers Jett would of course get off on a lot of tangents but they both did great. We played in the water and saw the waterfalls. We saw tons of creatures, lizards, iguanas, rock chucks, squirrels, so Jett had a hay day! We all had a great time skipping rocks Paige killed us in she rocked at skipping rocks. Jett and Mylee had fun playing tag on the way back. Colt loved every second in the water when he was down. So everyone had a great time we are excited for our next adventure next week. We went swimming on Saturday and I am nervous that Jett is going to be a little more scared this year because of how we started out - he was in a floatie and it tipped over and he was stuck under water for a few seconds so he was pretty nervous the rest of the time. Which last summer he was mister dare devil. Colt wasn't as into as I thought either but hopefully they will get better as we start to go more. Jett has been loving going up to Grandma's and Grandpa's and playing with Stockton and Brylee. It is so fun to see how they start playing so well with others and copying what they do. I just have to laugh. Jett wants to do everything Stockton does and says everything he says. Fun cousin times. We also got to hang out with Jeremy, Jalene and Taylor why we were home and that was a lot of fun we barbecued at their house and Jett and Colt dressed up in Taylor's tu tu's. It was hilarious. We went to dinner with Jalene and Jeremy and Lance and Stacey, and Nathan and Carley and that was a lot of fun too. Wish we could do it more often. Josh went camping this weekend with my brothers and Jeremy and Stacey came down with Bry for the day. We went to dinner and hung out for a bit. We had fun besides the stress of Josh's workers wrecking two big pieces of equipment that weekend and two yards flooding, and the city calling us for other stuff see Josh didn't have service so our secretary was dealing with all of this bless her heart I don't know what we ever did without her she is AWESOME... It is starting to get pretty hot which is nice but I wish it would stay like this for a while so we could get more hikes in. I have made some major steps with the kids Colt is now on only one nap and we started potty training Jett - WOW potty training is like one of the hardest things I have had to do as a parent yet. You will see why in the pictures. He pooped on his floor stepped in it smeared it in the carpet on the blankets, pillows, his hands and feet, and I thought I was going to throw up. He has pooped on the floor a few times but he is finally getting it and has been doing AWESOME I think we are going to get through it it's a lot of work man I swear diapers are way easier but I guess it's a good thing to be done with for now anyways. Jett is talking like CRAZY now you say something and he will say it right back to you so clear too! He is so funny just full of life he has so much fun doing anything he makes us laugh everyday. He says thank you all the time in the sweetest voice and gives me so many more hugs and kisses I am LOVING IT! He is my little angel. Colt is starting to say a lot more too it is hilarious because he will act like he is totally talking to you and he is mumbling he does it on the phone too. He is also becoming a little bully - he has been pulling hair like crazy and he knows he is doing it and thinks it's funny. He also takes things and runs away. He definitely is a tough boy he falls constantly and doesn't cry, but he does cry when Jett is playing with him I get irritated because he won't just sit and wrestle around with Jett without whining but I'm sure it won't be long that he will and Jett will probably be crying. I took them into the doctor yesterday and they weighed the exact same 29 pounds crazy huh! They are definitely growing more and more every day it is crazy how they learn so fast so many things. I just love my precious, busy, into everything, active, funny, smart, amazing boys! .
